Your privacy at a glance
SoulyByGrace uses information to provide music, respond to chats, review prayer requests and music submissions, and understand website activity. Different features use information differently, as explained below.
Chat and visitor alerts
The chat connects you directly with SoulyByGrace; it is not an AI assistant. We store the name, optional email address, and messages you submit so we can respond. Replies appear in your browser. Giving an email address in chat does not subscribe you to music updates.
A session cookie keeps your conversation connected while you browse. Pages using the chat report their page path and recent activity to our private inbox, including visits where no message is sent, and may trigger a visitor alert. The chat does not collect URL search parameters. Anonymous visitor labels identify browser sessions, not people by name.
Inactive conversations and visitor records are removed after 30 days by our scheduled cleanup. Hosting backups and standard server logs may have separate retention periods. Network addresses are processed to limit abuse; the application stores keyed, temporary hashes for this purpose.
The owner's phone receives generic notifications through its push provider. Message text and email addresses are not included in those notifications. Chat messages and contact details are stored on our hosting, not in Chatway.
Please avoid sending sensitive information. To request removal of a conversation, ask us in chat before closing your browser session, or contact us using the address below.
Optional listening statistics
Sharing listening statistics is optional. Use the checkbox beside the radio player to allow or stop sharing. Music works either way. This feature respects your browser's Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals.
If you allow statistics, we record the song and album, playback lasting at least 10 seconds, estimated listening time, and a random browser-session identifier. Listening records do not include names, email addresses, location, or raw IP addresses. Sessions expire after 30 minutes of inactivity and do not identify individual people.
Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage. A session cookie is used after you enable reporting or sign in to the private dashboard. Turning the checkbox off stops future listening reports; it does not erase earlier statistics.
Listening records are kept for a rolling 90-day reporting window. Older records are removed when statistics are next collected or viewed. Hosting backups can retain older copies. Hosting access logs may separately contain IP addresses, and temporary keyed IP hashes are used for abuse limits.
These listening reports are stored on our hosting and available through the owner's password-protected dashboard. They are estimates, not proof of identity or guaranteed listening. The song-listening reports are not sent to an outside analytics service.
The listening checkbox controls only these song-listening reports. It does not disable chat visitor alerts or Cloudflare website analytics.
Cloudflare website analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics on our public homepage, support page, prayer wall, and this policy page to understand page visits and website performance. Your browser loads Cloudflare's analytics script and sends analytics requests to Cloudflare. This is separate from the optional listening-statistics feature above.
Cloudflare describes Web Analytics as a service that does not use cookies or fingerprinting to track individual users. This description applies to Cloudflare Web Analytics, not to the session cookies used by our chat, prayer wall, or listening features. See Cloudflare's explanation, its data collection documentation, and its privacy policy.
Our private chat inbox, prayer review page, and listener dashboard do not have this Cloudflare snippet added. Browser restrictions or blockers may prevent analytics reports from being sent.
Prayer wall
You may submit a prayer request with your first name or leave the name blank to appear as Anonymous. Requests are reviewed before publication. Approved names and requests are visible publicly and may be seen or copied by others. Please avoid contact details or identifying or sensitive information about other people.
The wall does not ask for an email address, and submitting does not subscribe you to updates. Requests are stored on our hosting until removed by the moderator. Session information helps operate the wall and limit repeated prayer-count clicks; prayer counts represent browser sessions, not verified individuals. Abuse protection uses temporary keyed network-address hashes.
To request removal, contact us and identify the request. Removing a post from this site cannot remove copies others may have made. The wall is reviewed periodically and is not monitored for urgent help.
Music submissions and email
The Submit Your Music form prepares an email containing the creator name, song title, contact email, streaming link, genre or theme, description, optional artwork link, and rights acknowledgment. The form does not upload files, create an account, send the email automatically, or publish your music. You choose whether to send the prepared message through your email service.
If you send it to us, we receive the information in our mailbox and use it to review the submission and correspond with you. Your email service and our mailbox provider also process email. Sending a submission does not automatically add you to the mailing list or publish your track. Contact us if you wish to withdraw a submission or request removal of correspondence.
Music updates, purchases, and support
Music-update signup is handled through MailerLite. Album purchases and downloads link to Payhip, and financial support links to PayPal. Information you provide through those services is handled under their privacy policies. Their cookies and processing are separate from the features described above. Use the unsubscribe option in music-update emails to stop receiving them.
Our hosting provider processes website requests and may keep standard access logs. Backups and server logs have separate retention from the feature-specific cleanup periods described here.
Your choices and how to contact us
You can browse without submitting a chat, prayer request, or music submission. You can turn off optional listening reports using the radio checkbox. Clearing browser storage may remove saved choices and disconnect a chat session. These actions do not automatically delete records already stored.
For privacy questions or requests to access, correct, or remove information you supplied, email andy@soulybygrace.com. Include enough context for us to locate the relevant message, request, or submission, but do not send passwords. We may need to verify a request; anonymous records cannot always be linked back to a person.
We will update this page when our website practices change.
